St. Christopher
Medals St. Christopher is most commonly thought of as the patron saint of travelers. A martyr, probably of the third century and one of the most popular saints in the East and in the West, almost nothing certain is known about his life. Mysterious Greek tales of from the sixth century speak of Christopher and his feats. Pictures of the martyr in monasteries also from the sixth century confirm his existence and St. Christopher as an intercessor. Statues and pictures are often found with this telling inscription: "Whoever shall behold the image of St. Christopher shall not faint or fall on that day."
